BIOL 641 Quantitative Population Modeling Fundamentals of mathematical models of population dynamics. The course examines single-species models, including stability analysis, life tables, and analysis of matrix models, as well as competition and predation model forms. More advanced topics include spatial structure, stochasticity, harvesting models, individual-based models, and population viability analysis. The course combines lectures, discussions, and hands-on model development.
