CLSICS 688 The Golden Age of Rome The end of the Republic and birth of the Empire were unquestionably the most decisive turning points in Roman politics, with far-reaching ramifications for art, literature, religion, philosophy, and social relations. To understand this period students will examine political speeches, historians, biographers, poetry, and works of art and architecture.
