WGS 490 - Internship in Women’s Studies 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: A seminar which must be taken concurrently with WGS 491 . Internship students apply their theoretical understandings in women’s studies to practical experiences in supervised volunteer work. Topics include theoretical issues relevant to placements in a human service agency or social change organization; evaluation of basic skills learned in field work; and career development exercises. An oral presentation and two papers are required. Topics are integrated with discussions of students’ on-site work.
