Description: An investigation of the stability and volatility of the US economy, using both theoretical and applied analyses. The course examines several macroeconomic issues: the determinants of economic growth; the sources of instability in “managed-market” economies like the US; the interaction between macroeconomic policy and the international economy and the scope for systematic stabilization policy.
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisites: ECON 202 and MATH 129 or higher
