BIOL 638 - Advanced Ecology 3 Credit(s)
Description: Concepts of population and community ecology. Topics covered may include population dynamics, life history strategies, theory of r- and K-selection, competition, predation, community organization, and species diversity. Particular emphasis is placed on the relationship between theoretical and empirical ecology. A weekly tutorial provides the opportunity for greater discussion of material covered in lecture. Emphasis changes from year to year.
Enrollment Requirements: Graduate degree student in Biology or permission.
