ANTH 222G - Aztecs and Spaniards in the Conquest of Mexico 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: The defeat of the Aztec Empire by a small band of Spanish soldiers led by Hernan Cortes permanently changed the way Europeans understood the world, at the same time that it subjugated Mexico’s indigenous population to the institutions of colonial rule. The course may be counted toward the anthropology major and completion of the Latin American studies program. Capabilities addressed: Critical reading, critical thinking, clear writing, academic self assessment, collaborative learning, information technology, oral presentation.
