Description: This course examines how the decisions a firm takes with regard to its operational capabilities, alliances, facilities, workforce, and quality all affect its strategic position. Students will learn logical approaches to understand and enhance the sources of business unit value. Skills gained include: Negotiation analysis, systems dynamics, competing on analytics, and understanding of operations as a core competence within business strategy. Using a variety of readings and exercises, student swill learn to build successful businesses and business units by taking an executive level view of supply chain and service management.
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: A minimum of 60 credits
