Description: This course provides a multidisciplinary introduction to the field of Latino Studies. Drawing on anthropology, history, political science, cultural studies as well as sociology, we will study identity formation, race/ethnicity, immigration, demographic trends, gender relations, and social movements among Latinx communities in New England. The city of Boston, home to the largest Latinx population in New England, will be our laboratory.
