BIOL 307 - Advanced Human Anatomy and Human Physiology I 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: This is the first semester of a 2-semester advanced human anatomy and physiology course. The course aims to help students understand and appreciate how the various organ systems work in the human body to sustain life. Students will also learn how disruptions to homeostasis affect the whole organism, with a strong focus on the physiological underpinnings of disease. In this first semester, we will introduce the fundamental concepts of human anatomy and physiology and the focus on understanding the structures, functions, regulatory mechanisms and common pathologies involved in the skeletal, muscular, integumentary systems and nervous system. Students cannot receive credit for this course and BIOL 207 or BIOL 390 or BIOL 391 .
