MATH 309 - Financial Mathematics

Description:
This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics including annuities, stocks, bonds, and financial derivates. Students will learn how these concepts are applied in calculating present and accumulated values for various streams of cash flows, which will serve as a basis for future use in: reserving, valuation, pricing, asset/liability management, investment income, capital budgeting, and valuing contingent cash flows.

Prerequisite: MATH 141
