Business Administration, Global MBA

The Global MBA is a 33 credit (11 courses), 16 month full-time day cohort based MBA program with an everywhere “global” focus in its course offerings. It consists of a diversified mix of global-focused courses across the fields of accounting and finance, management and marketing, and informational systems and technology.

The Global MBA at UMass Boston aims to prepare both domestic and international students for today’s global-centric workforce and the world of business. As domestic companies go more international, so goes the need for a globally-trained and educated workforce. The program offers students knowledge of, and training in, global management and leadership practices along with a keen understanding of global finance and markets.

Required Courses

The Global MBA is designed for students with an undergraduate business degree and comparable work experience. Students that did not complete an undergraduate degree in business will need to satisfy the seven pre-requisite courses of the MBA program, some of which may be waived depending on prior coursework, while others can be taken on campus prior to entering the Global MBA track, in conjunction with, or completed online.
