Description: An evaluation of the influence of nutrition on growth and development in human populations. Particular emphasis on malnutrition and its effects on physical growth, neurological development and behavioral capacity. A model is developed which outlines the relationship between nutritional stress, the behavioral variation produced as a consequence of the stress, and the sociocultural characteristics of human communities.
