Description: This lecture course examines the development of twentieth-century painting and sculpture as well as the newer mediums of photography, video, and performance. Students will learn about specific works and major movements in art through formal (visual), critical, and historical analyses. We will also interrogate ideas about authorship, originality, and myths of the artist.
