PHYSIC 211 - Introduction to Contemporary Physics 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: The third semester of calculus-level introductory physics. Topics include special relativity; the historical development of quantum theory; elements of quantum mechanics; with applications to atomic, molecular, solid state, nuclear and particle physics. Students who need or want laboratory work in modern physics should enroll concurrently in PHYSIC 281 .
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: PHYSIC 114 or permission of instructor
