WGS 100 - Introduction to Women, Gender, and Sexualities in the United States 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: This interdisciplinary course examines how social constructions of gender and sexuality shape our day-to-day interactions with a variety of social institutions, such as the family and workplace, and contribute to systems of power and privilege. Through a careful examination of texts, films and other materials, students will explore contemporary feminist challenges to long-standing assumptions about what constitutes diverse gendered identities and will relate these insights to their own lived experiences in productive ways.
