Description: This course probes aspects of chemistry that are designed to benefit society and that search for pathways to minimize environmental impact. The course first studies a specific environmental problem in depth, then probes the pragmatic implications of discoveries in the field, and finally provides an array of representative green chemistry examples.
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: CHEM 312 (preferred) or CHEM 252 or CHEM 254 or CHEM 954A
