Description: The art and ideas, in poetry and prose, of such writers as John Dryden, Jonathan Swift, Alexander Pope, the early novelists Defoe and Fielding, Samuel Johnson, and Edmund Burke. A study of the chief social and philosophical currents of the period 1660 (the Restoration) to the later eighteenth century.
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: ENGL 200 or ENGL 201 or ENGL 202
