Description: This course will introduce students to theoretical approaches and empirical investigations in the field of sociology of religion. Course topic may include churches, sects and cults, religious conflicts, the globalization of religious through, the marketing of religion as a consumer product, and analyses of the origins and dynamics of world religions.
