Description: This course provides an historical and sociological introduction to our juvenile justice system, and considers such issues as children’s rights and the role of the family versus the role of various judicial institutions. In addition to classroom work, students undertake supervised field placements in juvenile courts, probation offices, and youth rehabilitation programs.
