JAPAN 103 - Japanese Through Music 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: This course is designed to facilitate the acquisition of the Japanese language through the utilization of Japanese music. Students will translate lyrics from folk songs and J-pop to analyze their meanings in context. In addition to the translation work, students will transcribe original lyrics of songs, creating new lyrics. Also, Japanese films will be interpreted and transcribed from original lines into new lines by integrating their music.
