Description: This course explores the impact of sport on the environment across international contexts. Key concepts discussed in this course will include environmental sustainability, ecosystem, toxicity/pollution, waste management, recycling, natural resources, and renewable energy. The standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification will be explored and discussed. Sport events and programs across international, national, regional, and local levels will be explored.
