EHS 320 - Adapted Physical Activity 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Course can be counted for credit once
Description: This course is designed to ensure that EHS students have current information concerning the physical activity needs of individuals with various disabling conditions including (but not limited to) autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, and spinal cord disabilities. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the attributes of specific disabling conditions, techniques for modifying activities so that all can participate, and strategies for developing and administering appropriate and effective community-based adapted physical programs.
Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: EHS 260 with a grade of C or higher
