Description: This course explores the working-class and urban history of Boston across nearly 400 years, with a focus on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. We will discuss the ways in which dynamics of race, gender, religion, and citizenship have shaped, and continue to shape, the lives of working people and the city of Boston.
