Description: Film has become an important medium for recording and conveying information about human behavior. To what extent do ethnographic films present a complete and accurate record of cultural reality and to what extent do they project a filmmaker’s romantic vision of ‘message’? Examples of ethnographic film are viewed and discussed in light of these questions.
