Description: The basic principles of heredity, studied through an integrated presentation of molecular and classical (Mendelian) genetics. Topics include the nature of the hereditary material, structure of chromosomes, and patterns of inheritance. Note: Students (non-biology majors) who do not wish to take the laboratory portion of this course should register for BIOL 254 . (No student may take this course after successful completion of BIOL 254 .)
