WGS 292 - Family Law Practice 3 Credit(s) | Lecture | Graded or pass/fail Course can be counted for credit once
Description: This course is designed to give students a real world understanding of the challenges and complexities of practicing family law. To accomplish this, after covering the fundamentals of Massachusetts divorce law, each student will be assigned a client to represent in a hypothetical divorce case. As “attorney,” you will be responsible for drafting the necessary legal documents, arguing before the “court,” and negotiating a settlement agreement with the attorney for the other side.
