Description: This upper-level course covers the biologic ecology of marine mammals (Pinnipeds, Cetaceans, Sirenians) with emphasis on applied populations population ecology and conservation issues. Topics include adaptations to marine environments, effects of human exploitation, case studies of population recovery, and multispecies interactions. Many topics make use of mathematical equations.
Enrollment Requirements: Pre-requisite = Graduate degree student in Biology or permission.
