Description: “What is an American?” The subject of this course is how the diverse identities of North Americans are constructed, defined, and explained. Through a variety of resources-including historical sources, material artifacts, fiction, poetry, film, and music explore individual, family, community, ethnic, class, gender, and racial identities in relation to regional, national, and transnational identities.
Course Note Students who take this course cannot enroll in AMST G110. Please note: Students may not receive credit for both AMST 110G and AMST 100.
