PHYSIC 630 Solid State Physics The application of quantum mechanics to the theory of the solid state. Topics include periodic structures, lattice waves, band theory of solids, dynamics of electrons in solids and magnetic resonance. Some applications of the theory to semi-conductor devices are made.
