PSYCLN 898 Internship in Clinical Psychology Doctoral candidates in clinical psychology are required to complete this one-year full-time predoctoral internship in a setting approved by the American Psychological Association. During the internship, students have a variety of clinical experiences, including assessments and therapeutic interventions. They are closely supervised by mental health professionals, some of whom must be licensed clinical psychologists. A letter from the on-site internship director documenting satisfactory completion must be in the student’s file at the University before the degree can be granted.
