Description:
This course examines content knowledge and methodologies for teaching mathematics to Middle and Secondary School students. The course covers various aspects of problems solving; the use of calculators, Excel and other technologies; number theory, complex numbers, the solution of polynomial equations with real and complex coefficients, and probability. Lesson planning, assessment, curricula, and making mathematics lessons and concepts accessible to all students are discussed. All students must be in a field placement or be a teacher of record.
