The Gerontology Graduate Certificate with a focus in management of aging services is targeted to individuals in the aging network who seek to upgrade their skills, advance in new directions within the field and those seeking to enter the field.
The emphasis will be on making this an easily accessible program through use of online courses.
Class scheduling will reflect the needs of a working student population.
Students will have the option of applying these 15 credits toward the 36-credit management of aging services master’s degree program.

Required Courses
Students must take 5 online courses from the following approved courses list, for a total of 15 credits.
Admission Requirements
All students must have an undergraduate degree to register for a course or get permission from the instructor.
GREs are NOT required for this program
Students must submit:
- Application fee
- Completed application form
- Brief cover letter indicating you would like to be considered for admission
- Official transcripts including evidence of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Three letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement: a three to four page essay on your experiences and why you wish to enter the program
Application deadlines
- June 1 for the fall semester
- November 1 for the spring semester
