Description:
This course provides students with an overview of approaches in world language instruction and research findings in language acquisition that can be applied to classroom practice. Through course assignments and activities, students (1) articulate goals and objectives; (2) design activities and materials appealing to diverse learners; and (3) create a variety of assessments to evaluate learning outcomes. The main goal of this course is to raise student awareness and reflective practice in their specific teaching context and to lead them to make informed pedagogical decisions.
