Description:
This course grounds students’ academic work in the practical realities of language use in multiple contexts, including classrooms, communities, and professional settings. Each student designs a semester-long field experience grounded in an applied linguistics professional context in coordination with the course instructor. The seminar community and readings help students to develop reflexivity and connect theory to practice.
